Adia brings over 20 years of experience as one of the most accomplished freelance violinists in Chicago and the Midwest. Her groundbreaking live improvisational skills - for which she has won multiple international competitions - put her in a category of her own in the growing DJ violin genre. Adia’s illustrious career includes performances with Stevie Wonder, The Who, Chance The Rapper, Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Patti LaBelle, and many others in world-renowned venues such as the Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Center and the United Center. She is also the leader of the critically acclaimed rock and pop string quintet Electric 5, and was a regular performer on TV Shows Empire and The Big Leap.

A prodigy since three and a half years old, Adia’s classical studies culminated with a Master of Music in performance from the prestigious DePaul University School of Music. Her strong foundation in classical music ensures technical excellence and musical depth in every performance. Late in her studies Adia embarked on a journey far removed from her classical roots when she began studying her new found passion - blues and rock guitar legends such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Slash and Jimi Hendrix to name a few. This allows her to infuse her dance and Top 40 DJ violin sets with electrifying soulful and jazzy improvisations, resulting in a virtuosic performance that is both highly entertaining and connects with the audience on a deep emotional level.
